CFA is thrilled to present Had a Farm, Travis MacDonald’s first solo exhibition in Berlin. The exhibition follows his debut solo presentation with the gallery, Autoluminescent, in Basel last year.
MacDonald blends the personal and the universal in a visual world shaped by fragmented and contemplative narrative. His deliberately understated works often feature a muted palette and subjects oscillating between the mundane and the absurd.
Born 1990 in New Zealand, MacDonald lives and works in Berlin. In 2024, he was awarded the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize in Australia.

Contemporary Fine Arts is pleased to announce “Nouveaux Tableaux” by Julien Heintz, his first exhibition at the gallery.
Hovering on the limits of figuration, Heintz’s subjects depict unknown historical figures, often inscribed within the universal narrative of a social role, function or performing act that is larger than their individual existence. Rendered in an aqueous blur that just allows to detect the defining lines of a face, Heintz’s vivid compositions are stretched across the entire canvas, rendering an all-encompassing atmosphere that defies a clear spatial-temporal determination.
For his first show at the gallery, Heintz presents a series of oil paintings and pastels on paper.
Heintz was born in 1997 in Paris, where he lives and works.
