Each spring, around 50 Berlin galleries open exhibitions by emerging and established artists during Gallery Weekend Berlin, welcoming numerous visitors from around the world to the city. Founded in 2005 by a cooperative of Berlin galleries, it has established itself as a highlight of the international art calendar. Gallery Weekend celebrates galleries and artists within this unique format that provides high-calibre exhibitions and an unparalleled experience of Berlin and its gallery spaces.
The upcoming Gallery Weekend Berlin will take place from April 26 – 28, 2024.

Gallery Weekend Berlin is a private initiative of Berlin galleries and is organized and implemented by abc gwb UG (limited liability). The members of the UG (currently: Guido Baudach, Jörn Bötnagel, Jochen Meyer, Bärbel Trautwein, and Nadine Zeidler) run Gallery Weekend alongside the director and management, every year in October determining the participants for the following year. A concerted effort is made to show support to young galleries, while aiming to not exceed the number of 50 participating galleries.
