After 11 years:
Relocation to Lindenstraße

25 APR 2024

Soy Capitán has relocated to its new premises at Lindenstraße 34 in Berlin Kreuzberg. After 11 years at its previous location, it now resides close to the Jewish Museum and the Berlinische Galerie and remains at the heart of the dynamic and emerging contemporary art scene of Kreuzberg.

Established by Heike Tosun in 2011, Soy Capitán represents international artists, working across a wide range of practices, media, and perspectives. The gallery’s exhibition program primarily focuses on regularly changing solo shows and is further enriched by selected curatorial interventions. Initially located in Berlin-Neukölln, where it actively participated in the newly emerging art scene, Soy Capitán relocated its main gallery space to Prinzessinnenstraße 29 in Berlin-Kreuzberg in 2013. There, it established a space to facilitate meaningful interactions through art and continuously strengthen its cooperative network of creative thinkers, artists, institutions, curators, and collectors. After 11 years, Soy Capitán has moved again. It is now situated in new premises at Lindenstraße 34, 10969 in Berlin. Situated close to the Jewish Museum, Berlinische Galerie, and other galleries, it remains at the heart of the dynamic and emerging contemporary art scene of Kreuzberg.
