On the occasion of Gallery Weekend Berlin 2026, Sweetwater is pleased to present Brutes des nuits, the second solo exhibition of Hanna Stiegeler with the gallery. The exhibition serves as the debut of a new series of large-scale gouache screenprinted canvases, depicting the bed Stiegeler shares with her child. The source images for the works were generated using Stiegeler’s baby monitor, grainy and pixelated; the resulting canvases present as an abstracted and distorted portrait of bedsheets and pillows. Brutes des nuits frames the bed as a site of tenderness, care, intimacy, and labor.
