Achraf Touloub
Pleiades
11 SEP – 31 OCT 2026
Opening – 10 SEP 2026, 6–10 pm
Galeria Plan B is delighted to present Pleiades, the fifth solo exhibition at the gallery by Achraf Touloub (b. 1986, Casablanca, Morocco), on the occasion of Berlin Art Week 2026.
In this new body of paintings and drawings, Touloub renders a world in which everything is porous, crossed through by currents of living force. His transparent territories are traversed by the gaze: figures merge with their settings, form with ground, the near with the far. Beneath the anonymity of places and bodies, the great flows of our present (of capital, information, populations) meet more intimate subjects, stirring quietly behind them.
Like the star cluster that once guided sailors, these works are composed as constellations, tracing the invisible lines that connect things to one another. They ask to be navigated rather than read: surfaces where the visible and the invisible are in constant negotiation, and where sensation dwells alongside idea, fullness alongside emptiness, myth alongside the present. With Pleiades, Touloub reawakens painting as an instrument of orientation: a threshold, a door, a vessel that looks back at us even as it carries us.
