Galerie Thomas Schulte is pleased to present EBENHOLZ, a solo exhibition featuring installations by James Gregory Atkinson. Atkinson further develops his research-intensive practice, delving into the histories of Black Germany after World War II. In the footnotes of these contested and variously dispersed histories, Atkinson salvages salient legacies, sounds, objects, and documents that lend a palpable material presence to histories that have shaped Germany more than official historical accounts reveal.
