Alexander Kluge -
Muybridge's Very Fast Cat

In the Chapel of St. Agnes, König Gallery presents the latest collaboration between the artist Sarah Morris (*1967) and the German filmmaker Alexander Kluge (*1932). For this show, titled Cats and Ghosts, Kluge has penned a series of short stories for Morris, which she took to her studio in New York and recorded three films based on them. Furthermore, the exhibition comprises also five screens showing films by Alexander Kluge, many of them made in collaboration with Sarah Morris. These films include references to other protagonists from the art world, among them homages to Paul Klee, James Ensor and Eadweard Muybridge.
