Mountains is pleased to announce the first Berlin solo exhibition of Jusun Lee. 

Jusun Lee was born in South Korea in 1992 and lives in Berlin and Seoul. His most recent work was featured in a studio exhibition at KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin. In 2023, he received the Kunsthalle Wien Prize.

Jusun Lee thoughtfully and sensually combines materiality with an exploration of personal and sociopolitical themes. He invites viewers into an immersive environment that offers a sense of security while simultaneously encouraging them to reflect on social rejection, safe spaces, and self-empowerment.

The exhibition brings together new works by the artist that engage intensively with material and technique, constantly reflecting on the conditions of their field.

Jusun Lee studied with Nora Schultz, Heimo Zobernig, and Monica Bonvicini in Vienna, and with Jimmy Robert at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). He works primarily in the mediums of sculpture, installation, and performance.

His recent and upcoming solo exhibitions include TINC (This Is Not a Church), Seoul (2026); Mountains, Berlin (2026); Pluripotent Art Space, Seoul; and Onsu-gonggan, Seoul (both 2024). His performances (solo and collective) include Gropius Bau, Berlin (2025); Kunsthalle Vienna (2024); CCA, Berlin (2022); Weiss Falk, Basel (2018); and others.

Jusun Lee is the recipient of the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2023. He is currently a scholarship holder of the Arts Council Korea.
