Gabriele und Helmut Nothhelfer
Helga Paris | Untitled, from the series „Häuser und Gesichter. Halle, 1983-1985“
As an homage to the seminal show “In Deutschland,” organized by Klaus Honnef in 1979, which included artists Thomas Struth, Axel Hütte, Candida Höfer, Tata Ronkholz, Wilhelm Schürmann, Heinrich Riebesehl, Michael Schmidt, and Ulrich Görlich, Kicken Berlin is featuring German photographic works from the 1970s and 1980s with the first part of its exhibition series “In Germany: reloaded”.
Guest curator Wilhelm Schürmann elaborates on the original exhibition for Gallery Weekend 2016. The exhibition “In Germany: reloaded (II)” presents the work of German photographers such as Sibylle Bergemann, Rudi Meisel, Simone Nieweg, Gabriele and Helmuth Nothhelfer, Helga Paris, Ulrich Wüst, and Petra Wunderlich.
